MEETING ROOM CONTROL SYSTEMS
We design and deliver intelligent control systems that unify audio, visual and environmental technology into one seamless experience. Whether you're equipping a huddle room, executive boardroom or large meeting suite, our control solutions make meeting spaces intuitive, reliable and user-friendly.
Transform Your Meeting Rooms
When a meeting room works smoothly, everyone benefits. But when technology is clunky, time is wasted and focus shifts away from content to setup. Our meeting room control systems put simplicity at the centre: one interface to manage displays, lights, blinds, audio, video, conferencing and room booking — so meetings start on time and stay productive.

Meeting Room Control FAQs
Q.How much does a meeting room control system cost in the UK?
Pricing depends on the brand, the number of devices being controlled and how much custom programming is needed. As a guide, a small huddle-room control system using a Logitech Tap or Crestron Mercury sits around £1,500–£3,000 supplied and programmed. A standard meeting room with a Crestron or Extron touch panel, programmable controller and basic AV control is typically £4,000–£10,000. A boardroom or executive suite controlling AV, lighting, blinds and HVAC with custom Crestron/Extron programming usually runs £10,000–£30,000+.
Q.Which control system brands do Strive AV install?
We are platform-agnostic but have deep expertise across the leading UK control brands: Crestron (Flex, NVX, programmable processors and touch panels), Extron (IPCP processors, Pro Series and TouchLink panels) and Q-SYS by QSC (audio, video and control on a single platform). For Microsoft Teams Rooms specifically we also work with Logitech, Poly, Yealink and Neat. The right brand depends on your room mix, IT estate and budget.
Q.What's the difference between a control system and a Microsoft Teams Room controller?
A Microsoft Teams Room controller (e.g. Logitech Tap, Crestron Flex) is a fixed-function touch panel that primarily controls Teams calls. A full control system from Crestron, Extron or Q-SYS is custom-programmed and can control any AV device, room lighting, blinds, HVAC, room booking and conference platforms from one interface. Most UK boardrooms and executive suites need a full control system; smaller rooms can usually get by with a native Teams or Zoom controller.
Q.Can a control system manage lighting, blinds and HVAC as well as AV?
Yes — a properly designed Crestron, Extron or Q-SYS control system can integrate with DALI lighting, motorised blinds, BMS/HVAC systems and access control. We typically tie this together with one-touch presets so a 'Presentation' button dims lights, lowers blinds, wakes the displays and starts the meeting platform. We work alongside your M&E or fit-out contractor to align cabling and protocols.
Q.Do you offer remote monitoring and management of meeting room control?
Yes. We offer remote monitoring and management of meeting room estates using Crestron XiO Cloud, Extron GlobalViewer Enterprise, Q-SYS Reflect and Microsoft Teams Pro Management. This gives you a single dashboard view of room health, firmware status, in-progress meetings and incident alerts, and lets us proactively resolve most issues before users notice. It's particularly valuable for organisations with 10+ meeting rooms.
Q.How long does it take to install and program a control system?
Hardware installation for a single room typically takes 2–5 days, but the programming phase varies more. A standard meeting room with off-the-shelf Crestron or Extron templates is usually 1–2 weeks of programming. A bespoke boardroom with custom touch panel design, lighting integration and conferencing automation can take 4–8 weeks of programming and commissioning. We always factor user training and a 30-day post-go-live support window into the project plan.
Q.Can a control system standardise the user experience across multiple rooms?
Yes — that's one of the strongest reasons to invest in a programmable control system. We design a consistent UI that's reused across every room of a similar type (huddle, meeting, boardroom), so users get the same experience on a Crestron or Extron panel anywhere in the estate. This drives end-user adoption, cuts support tickets and means we can roll out updates and policy changes centrally rather than per-room.
