Meeting Room Design FAQs

Q.How does the meeting room design configurator work?

The configurator takes you through a short series of questions about your meeting room — typical capacity, room dimensions, primary use case (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, BYOD), and whether you need extras like dual displays, ceiling microphones or room control. Based on your answers it produces a tailored AV recommendation covering displays, cameras, microphones, audio DSP, control and connectivity. It's free to use and there's no obligation to proceed.

Q.How accurate is the price guidance from the configurator?

The configurator gives an indicative UK price range based on the components recommended. As a rule of thumb, huddle rooms typically come back at £3,000–£8,000 fully installed; mid-size meeting rooms £8,000–£20,000; and full executive boardrooms £25,000–£60,000+. Final pricing depends on building constraints, cabling, joinery and integration with your existing IT — we confirm with a fixed quote after a free site survey.

Q.Do you support Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms and Google Meet?

Yes. The configurator can recommend native Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms or Google Meet hardware kits using certified manufacturers including Logitech, Poly, Yealink, Crestron Flex and Neat. If you don't want to commit to one platform, the configurator can also output a BYOD/bring-your-own-device design that works with any laptop and any platform via a USB-bridged video bar.

Q.Can I use this configurator for multiple meeting rooms?

Yes. Many UK customers run the configurator several times — once per room type — to standardise their estate. Standardising on a small number of room sizes (huddle, small meeting, large meeting, boardroom) is the most cost-effective approach across multi-site rollouts because it simplifies user training, support and spares. We'll help you consolidate the outputs into a single project quote.

Q.What happens after I complete the design?

Once you complete the configurator you'll see a tailored recommendation. From there you can request a follow-up from our UK team — we'll review the design with you, arrange a free site survey, and convert the recommendation into a detailed scope of work and fixed-price quote. There's no obligation: many users complete the configurator just to benchmark their own internal designs.

Q.Does the configurator cover audio and acoustics?

Yes — at a recommendation level. The configurator picks suitable microphones (typically Shure or Sennheiser ceiling arrays for boardrooms, beamforming bars from Logitech or Poly for smaller rooms) and audio DSP (Q-SYS or Biamp) where required. Detailed acoustic treatment design — wall panels, ceiling tiles, baffles — is added in the site survey stage, since it depends on the actual building and finishes.
