Wireless Presentation FAQs

Q.How much does a wireless presentation system cost in the UK?

Pricing depends on the room count, brand and whether you want a basic content-sharing puck or a full BYOD platform with conferencing. As a guide, an entry-level system such as Barco ClickShare CX-20 or AirTame 2 typically starts around £700–£1,200 per room. Mid-range Mersive Solstice or ClickShare CX-30/CX-50 systems are usually £1,500–£2,500 per room, and enterprise rollouts with central management and Teams/Zoom integration are £2,500–£4,500 per room installed. We provide fixed-price quotes after a short space audit.

Q.Which wireless presentation brands do Strive AV install?

We are vendor-agnostic and partner with the leading manufacturers including Barco ClickShare, Mersive Solstice, Crestron AirMedia, AirTame, Logitech and Microsoft Teams Rooms with content sharing. The right platform depends on your room sizes, security requirements, the mix of guest and employee devices, and whether you also need video conferencing, BYOM (bring your own meeting) or annotation.

Q.Do wireless presentation systems support AirPlay, Miracast and Chromecast?

Yes. Modern wireless presentation systems such as ClickShare CX, Mersive Solstice and Crestron AirMedia all support native AirPlay (macOS, iOS, iPadOS), Miracast (Windows) and Google Cast (Chromebooks, Android). This means visitors and guests can present without installing any software. Employees typically use a small button or a managed app for the most reliable experience.

Q.Are wireless presentation systems secure for enterprise networks?

Yes — when configured correctly. Enterprise-grade platforms such as ClickShare CX and Mersive Solstice support TLS encryption, 802.1X network authentication, PIN-protected sessions, central firmware management and integration with Active Directory or SSO. We design installations to meet your IT and information-security requirements, including separate guest VLANs, isolated rooms and central monitoring.

Q.Which room sizes and meeting types are wireless presentation systems best for?

Wireless presentation systems suit everything from two-person huddle rooms through to boardrooms and large training suites. Smaller spaces typically use a single dual-stream system, while boardrooms and divisible rooms often need quad-stream platforms with multiple displays. Large lecture theatres and town-hall spaces usually combine wireless presentation with dedicated lecture-capture or streaming hardware.

Q.Do wireless presentation systems work with Microsoft Teams and Zoom?

Yes — most modern systems integrate natively. Barco ClickShare CX, Mersive Solstice and AirMedia all support BYOM, allowing a laptop to present wirelessly while routing the room camera, mic and speakers into Teams or Zoom calls. We can also design fully integrated Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms where the certified appliance handles both video conferencing and content sharing.

Q.How long does installation take and is downtime required?

A single-room wireless presentation install is usually completed in half a day to one day, including network configuration, firmware updates, integration with your display and a short user-training session. Larger multi-room rollouts are scheduled in waves to minimise disruption, typically out of business hours. We handle cabling, mounting, network registration and Active Directory integration in the same visit.
