Cisco Webex FAQs
Q.How much does a Cisco Webex Room cost to install in the UK?
A small Webex huddle room with the Cisco Room Bar and a 55-inch display typically starts around £6,500–£8,500 fully installed. A medium room with the Room Kit Pro or Room Bar Pro and a 65-inch display is usually £10,000–£18,000. Large boardrooms running the Cisco Codec Pro with dual displays, ceiling microphones and a Touch 10 panel run £25,000–£60,000+. Cisco's premium hardware costs more than mass-market kit but offers best-in-class AI camera intelligence, audio processing and reliability for executive spaces.
Q.Which Cisco Webex Room hardware do you install?
We install the full Cisco Room series including the Room Bar and Room Bar Pro for huddle and small spaces, Room Kit, Room Kit EQ and Room Kit Pro for medium rooms, and the Codec Plus, Codec Pro and Codec EQ for large boardrooms with modular cameras and microphones. We also install the Cisco Board Pro 55 and Board Pro 75 for interactive whiteboarding, plus Touch 10 and Navigator panels for control and scheduling.
Q.Do I need a Webex licence for each Cisco Room device?
Yes — each Cisco Room device requires either a Webex Cloud subscription or a Webex Calling/Meetings entitlement. UK list pricing for the Webex Suite typically starts around £10–£14 per user per month with room device entitlements bundled into the enterprise agreement. Cisco Room devices can also register to on-premises Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) if you have an existing on-prem deployment. We help you choose between cloud, on-prem and hybrid registration models.
Q.Can Cisco Webex Rooms join Microsoft Teams meetings?
Yes. All current Cisco Room devices running RoomOS 11 support direct guest join into Microsoft Teams meetings without any additional licensing. They can also be configured for full Microsoft Teams Rooms on Cisco mode, which makes Teams the native experience on the device while keeping the Cisco hardware. We help organisations choose between Webex-native, Teams-native and dual-platform configurations based on their primary collaboration platform.
Q.What types of rooms work best with Cisco Webex hardware?
Cisco Room devices are designed for a full range of spaces — Room Bar for 2–6 person huddle rooms, Room Kit and Room Bar Pro for 6–10 person standard rooms, Room Kit Pro and Codec Plus for 10–18 person boardrooms, and Codec Pro for large divisible rooms and executive spaces. Cisco's AI-driven framing, speaker tracking and noise removal are particularly strong in larger rooms with multiple presenters and complex acoustics.
Q.How long does a Cisco Webex Room installation take?
A typical Room Bar or Room Kit installation in a single space takes one working day, including mounting, cabling, registration to your Webex Control Hub or CUCM, calendar integration and a 30-minute user training session. Large boardrooms with the Codec Pro, ceiling microphones and dual or triple displays usually take three to five days. We schedule UK-wide multi-room rollouts with weekend and out-of-hours options to avoid disrupting business meetings.
Q.Can Cisco Room devices integrate with our existing Cisco UC infrastructure?
Yes. Cisco Room devices can register to Webex Control Hub for cloud management, to on-premises Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and Cisco Meeting Server for traditional video estates, or to a hybrid configuration with Webex Edge for Devices. We support migrations from legacy Cisco TelePresence endpoints (SX, MX, DX series) onto the current Room Bar and Codec Pro range, including dial plan, address book and calendar service migration.
Q.Do you offer ongoing support for Cisco Webex Rooms in the UK?
Yes. We offer UK-based managed Webex Room support including remote monitoring through Webex Control Hub, proactive RoomOS firmware management, hardware swap-out under SLA and on-site engineer attendance. We can also provide Cisco Smart Net Total Care contracts for hardware replacement, and quarterly service reviews covering room utilisation, call quality and user adoption. Service tiers range from 8x5 next-business-day to 24x7 4-hour response.
