Zoom Rooms FAQs
Q.How much does a Zoom Room cost to install in the UK?
A small huddle Zoom Room with a single Logitech Rally Bar Mini or Poly Studio X30 typically starts around £4,500–£6,500 installed, including the touch controller, mounting and cabling. A medium Zoom Room with a 65-inch display, Logitech Rally Bar or Neat Bar Pro and scheduling panel is usually £7,500–£12,000. Large boardrooms with dual displays, ceiling microphones and Yealink MeetingBar A30 or Logitech Rally Plus typically run £15,000–£35,000+. Pricing excludes Zoom Rooms licensing. We provide fixed-price UK quotes after a discovery call.
Q.Which Zoom-certified hardware brands do Strive AV install?
We are an authorised installer for all the major Zoom Rooms certified hardware vendors including Logitech (Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini, Tap IP), Poly (Studio X30, X50, X70), Yealink (MeetingBar A20, A30, A40) and Neat (Neat Bar, Bar Pro, Board, Pad). We help you select the right device-class for the room size, acoustic conditions and budget, and we standardise hardware across your estate so support and management stay simple.
Q.Do I need a Zoom Rooms licence and how is it different from a Zoom Workplace licence?
Yes — every Zoom Room requires its own Zoom Rooms licence, which is separate from your individual Zoom Workplace user licences. UK list pricing for Zoom Rooms is £39 per room per month or £390 per room per year, with volume discounts on multi-room deployments. Zoom Phone, Webinars and large-meeting capacity are additional add-ons. We can supply licences alongside hardware on a single UK invoice and help with multi-year procurement.
Q.What types of rooms can be configured as Zoom Rooms?
We design Zoom Rooms for every space class — focus rooms and phone booths, 4–6 person huddle rooms, 8–14 person standard meeting rooms, large boardrooms with dual displays, training rooms and divisible spaces. Each layout uses different certified hardware: Neat Pad or Logitech Tap IP for small spaces, all-in-one bars for medium rooms, and codec-based Rally Plus or Yealink A40 setups for large spaces with ceiling microphones.
Q.How long does a Zoom Room installation take?
A single huddle or medium Zoom Room is typically installed, commissioned and tested in one working day, including cable management, display mounting, hardware pairing to your Zoom tenant, and a 30-minute user training session. Boardrooms with ceiling microphones, dual displays or AV-over-IP integration usually take two to three days. Multi-site rollouts are scheduled to minimise business disruption with weekend and out-of-hours options across the UK.
Q.Can Zoom Rooms integrate with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace calendars?
Yes. Zoom Rooms supports direct calendar integration with Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online), Google Workspace and on-premises Exchange. We configure the calendar resource accounts, room-mailbox permissions and one-touch join so the meeting room device shows your scheduled meetings automatically. Zoom Rooms can also join Microsoft Teams and Webex meetings using direct guest join, which is helpful if you have suppliers or customers on other platforms.
Q.Do you offer ongoing support and managed services for Zoom Rooms?
Yes. We offer UK-based managed Zoom Rooms support including remote monitoring, proactive firmware management, hardware swap-out under SLA, on-site engineer call-outs and quarterly service reviews. We can manage your Zoom Rooms admin tenant, provision new rooms, and report on utilisation. Service tiers run from 8x5 next-business-day through to 24x7 4-hour response, with optional spare-kit holding.
Q.Can you migrate our existing Microsoft Teams Rooms to Zoom Rooms?
Yes. We carry out hardware audits to identify which devices are dual-certified or can be re-flashed for Zoom Rooms, and which need replacement. Logitech Rally Bar, Poly Studio X-series and Yealink MeetingBar devices typically support both platforms with a firmware switch, so the cost of migration is mostly licensing, configuration and user training. We plan migrations room-by-room to maintain meeting availability across your estate.
